Brookdale Place is an independent living community built in 1987 and is home to more than 280 residents. Interior renovations included significant enhancements to the clubhouse facility, dining and common areas and the re-orientation and re-construction of the lobby grand staircase. Second-floor walkways were reconfigured to lower the floors, leaving the roof intact and providing upgraded resident access. Building exteriors received a new stucco façade with new fence enclosures and balconies for each apartment.
The units received full renovations, adding upgraded appliances, granite countertops, new finishes, laundry additions and updated bath facilities. Other units received partial renovations and were completed by adding in-unit laundry facilities. Every unit in the community received fire sprinkler upgrades, requiring access to every resident occupied unit.
The entirety of the renovation was completed with all 280 permanent residents of Brookdale Place living within the community.
“The HarenLaughlin team created a pleasant experience and very quickly became a part of our team, welcoming residents in the mornings, holding doors for people and embracing what is so important to us at Brookdale – the happiness and quality of life of our residents. They were overly tidy in their cleanup processes, always polite, would adjust to our group needs as requested, and kept a constant stream of communication with our staff. Residents frequently commented on how pleasant the workers were and how they would be missed when the project was complete. We couldn’t be more pleased with the final product nor the experience. Please share our gratitude to your entire team for a job well done!”
